Labor Day weekend

So, I have decided to become a blogger yet again. I haven't done this since high school- I finally deleted that blog. I often entertain myself with other people's blogs, so I thought there was an off chance someone might be entertained by mine (ours)- please like Dusten will be a blogger. We don't have cute kids to post pictures of, so there may be little to share--at least for a while. I'll just try to keep you posted on anything interesting (and somethings that are not) happening in our little lives. Feel free to comment as often as possible and ask anything that might be on your mind.

Wednesday night I worked late, and when I got home, Dusten had gone the grocery store, had the house picked up, had put away all the clean dishes, lit the candles, started one of my favorite CDs, and had a pizza in the oven. I was quite impressed. This is why I want him to quit his job at the library, so I can come home everynight to dinner and clean house. Plus, maybe we would have a chance to finish all (I'd also settle for some) of the projects around the house. We're talking about him leaving the library near the end of the year. He said he would do the mini with me in May, so he's going to have to quit so we can train together, which I think will be a lot of fun. I'm hoping to do it in 2.5 hours next year.

This long Labor Day weekend was uneventful for the most part. Friday night I worked late, and we went over to Ben and Debbie's for BLTs and we hung out there until it was time for us to go home and go to bed. I still have to get up at 6:30 AM on Saturdays to work, so bed time is 10pm, even on the weekends- nice huh?
Saturday D and I both worked til 5 and were too lazy to cook, so we decided to use one of coupons for Olive Garden and we went there for dinner.. again. That is one of my favorite places to go. We've gotten in the habit of getting the alfredo dipping sauce with our breadsticks, and let me tell you, it is to die for! We also really like the chocolate and strawberry creme dessert, either way, it is not helping me keep all the weight I lost this year off.
Sunday we got up early and went to first service at church. I decided I wanted to get a head start on September, so I decided to work on Sunday. It was only for 4 hours, and I actually had a good deal of fun. SM was closed on Monday, so I decided it wouldn't kill me to work on Sunday. Afterwards, D and I stopped by his parents to take the dog out while they were gone. On our way home we saw some smoke and decided to investigate. Turns out there was an apartment on fire right next to the casino. We got there right when it started and ended up staying to watch the entire roof burn away. Pretty much everyone in all 16 units lost everything. It was the biggest fire that I have ever seen. We ran into someone we knew at the fire (surprise, surprise) and ended up eating at Steak 'n Shake with them after. We went home, watched Drillbit Taylor and some Gilmore Girls and went to bed.
Monday we finally got to sleep in. It was 9:00 before we finally rolled out of bed-- it was quite amazing. Dusten took it upon himself to clean out our fishtank while did a couple loads of laundry. Around 11 we went bicycling on the White River Trails with his parents. We did about 9.5 miles. It was a good time, most of the ride was in the shade so the heat didn't bother us too much, I was still really stinky, but I could have done another 4 miles or so. The rest of the day, D and I cleaned house and relaxed. We watched The Great Debaters ate tacos and finished off Gilmore Girls Season Five. (*hint*hint). We started TGB at 5:30 pm and were in bed by 10pm. It was glorious, but I still overslept this morning =)

I think this week is going to go well and go by fast. I've already put $1 mil toward goal this month (which hasn't been determined yet). I'm planning on hitting it hard this month since we are going on vacation for a week next month. I'm feeling good about it, but I'm hoping they lower goal a little bit, it was a crazy 8.4 mil in August. I only hit 140% cause we went white water rafting in West Virginia for 3 days after mom and dads surprise 25th anniversary party on August 9. Hopefully I'll be posting more pictures on my webshots page, so you can see--but I would have to not be working to do that.

Well, that's all for now, I'm having too much fun playing with the pictures.
