All in all a great day

I didn't know when I woke up today that it was going to be a great day, but it was. My team at work has had a really good start to the month and we were so excited that we instituted a new team policy that if we hit 130% to goal for the month that Jamie and I would buy the team pizza for lunch. We're hoping that becomes a very frequent occurence. Really as long as Team Smith (my team) is in first place, we're all good. Secondly, as I was finishing my lunch that day, Dusten called me...which was weird because I call him at the start of lunch, and then I don't hear from him until the end of the day. He said that Stacy had her baby, and it totally caught me off guard. I knew she was due any day, but I was still thinking it would be next week. In any case, Owen is here and we went to visit him. He spent 2 hours sleeping in my arms. It was nice. He was heavy. He's going to be a smart kid, because his head was extremely heavy. This is the picture they shared =)

So while we were there, Dusten spilled the other great news. The house is paid off! I couldn't believe he didn't tell me until then, but he later explained that he forget due to all the excitement about Owen...yea yea. I didn't know for sure if he was going to do it or not. I knew we had 2 payments left, but with him losing his job at the library, he had talked about going to half payments. I told him to just finish it off, but I didn't think that he would actually listen to me..usually he doesn't.

Our neighbor across the street also had a baby this week. Her name is Ami and she went to high school with Dusten. We've become good friends with her brother (Josh) and his fiance (Krystal). Yea, we kind of pressured them into getting engaged, but it was worth it. Anyway, his name is Caide (like Cade's Cove, except spelled different). So I'm calling this month March of the Babies. We might be able to squeeze in a couple more by the end of the month if we are lucky.

As far as mini training this year has been difficult to say the least. Last week I had a horrible cold which put me out Sunday (22) through Sunday (1). Then Monday I didn't workout because Dusten was making dinner and there was a chance some of our friends would come over. By Tuesday I was feeling really guilty so I ran 6 miles. Today I couldn't walk and we ended up spending the evening at the hospital with the baby...so... Hopefully by next week I will be back to my normally disciplined self. Dusten's knee has been bothering him lately, so I don't know what he is going to do. He probably won't be able to run it with me, and what's the fun of walking by himself? We'll see, maybe he just needs to get a knee brace.
