Planting Day

Today was planting day at the Tryon household. After church on Sunday we headed to McDonald's which is our usual stop. I love McDonald's and become more addicted with each passing day. We headed home to change into work clothes and then to Harvest, Lowe's and back to Harvest. We ended up buying 3 flats of flowers, some tomato and pepper plants, some soil, compost, and some planters.

When we got home, we pulled it out of the car and were starting to mix our soil when it started pouring down rain. We knew it wasn't going to last long, so we sat in the garage waiting for it to quit,

which it did after about 10 minutes. When it stopped we got back to work. We planted two planters and a hanging basket
.

We also planted lots and lots of flowers in our front landscaping, but you can't see those yet, because they are still really small. In the mean time here are the before pictures, and in a couple of weeks once the flowers get bigger I'll take and after pictures. We probably went a little overboard with the number of flowers, but I think it will look beautiful.

I like it and I think you will too. While we were out we managed to get a little too much sun. It's hard to remember the pain that the sun causes when it's April and 80 degrees after you've been cooped up all summer. My arms, ears, and back of my neck got a little red, and Dusten did too.
