I called last night and talked to my parents. I did not tell them of course, but it's funny to see them have no clue. Dad was saying how I should start eating this chocolate that mom is into and start training to run the mini in 2 hours next year. I told him he was crazy, I wouldn't be able to do it that fast. Because I'm not planning to do it at all. I asked to see if they would be able to come up for Father's Day. I don't think it was suspicious at all, but Mom said that Dad is working nights and that wouldn't be a good day. The following weekend they will be in Minnesota for the family reunion which we are not going to now. So we're looking at the 4th of July or June 14th to tell them, or maybe someone will spill the beans before then. We'll see how it goes. My first appointment is on June 10, and by then I will be about 8 weeks. So now I need another idea of how to spill the beans, especially if it may not be in person. Of course writing to myself on a blog that no one reads isn't going to help that.
It has been a lot of fun to see the looks on people's faces when we tell them. We have only told a couple of people at work so far and one of our couple friends that has been harassing us about having kids since we got married. They normally ask everytime they come over, but this time they didn't really. It still came up and you should have seen the looks on their faces. They so did not believe us until my face started turning bright red. That has been my favorite part so far- watching people's reactions. I can't wait to tell the rest of our friends and family.
