A Night at the Hospital

It started with my amazing Snoogle pillow. It's a huge body pillow that my mom bought me this weekend. The problem is that when I sleep with it I don't move. I am used to rolling all over the place. So the first night I woke up with what felt like a crick in my stomach. Kind of like a cross between a crick in your neck and the pain you get from running and not breathing properly. That's how the day started and I soon recovered. But by lunch time I started to have cramps. By 2:30 I was wishing I was at home in bed. People kept telling me that they were growing pains or contractions, but I knew they weren't. They felt like cramps. Jamie looked up braxton hicks contractions and was reading to me about how they felt. I kept saying, "NO, they feel like cramps." So I called Dusten and he said to call my dad. (I don't want to be one of those people that calls my doctor for every ache and pain, so dad is always a non annoyable option =) So I called mom to call my dad who was at work and she starts freaking out of course and tells me to call the doctor. So I call and they ask me a million questions to all of which my answer is no! They finally called me back after work and said to go to the Birthing Center at the hospital to get checked out just in case. So I did. They hooked me up to all the fancy machines that check the baby's heartbeat and check to see if I am having contractions. I wasn't of course. Why don't people listen. I told you, I have cramps. So anyway. Everything was fine with the baby. The doctor came in and pushed around on my belly to make sure it was still soft. They did a urine analysis today I got a message that I have a UTI. No symptoms really, just the lab work proves it. Hopefully it stays that way. I've been taking my meds and drinking cran-grape juice which is actually pretty good. Mom has since recovered from her panic. =)
